The client was tasked with the safe containment of contaminated waste concrete and metals, which were to be sawn in preparation for final containment in long term containers.
The GMP Group were given the task of designing the high containment, portable facility, which was appropriate for the sawing of the contaminated waste, and met with the necessary regulations.
The facility has since been developed and includes personnel changing in and out, materials in/out airlocks, processing area, control rooms for saw and utilities operations, HVAC supply to all areas, exhaust system with safe change double HEPA's and waste water containment.
